It's that time of year...Forth is looking for 2017 interns! Come be a part of the supportive community of bright Chicago women that we're building.

We typically have two interns who work collaboratively through the year.
2017 Forth Chicago Social Media, Blogging & Event Intern
Unpaid. If you are in college, we will work with you and your college for college credit if applicable.
Training in late Fall/early Winter on an as-ageed-to basis (may be more all at once or spread out depending on your schedule and our current interns' schedules). Part-Time (+/-10 hours a week) starting in January 2017. We are looking for a 12 month commitment but with training from our current interns starting after our Fall Salon in mid-October. You'll take the reins with your partner starting in January. You'll also have the opportunity to train the 2018 intern the following Fall. You will be able to work remotely but would be expected at the four seasonal salons and planning meetings and we'd love if you are at our public events and community gatherings when you can make it.
You and a fellow intern will either divide up or share out specific responsibilities from this list based on experience and aptitude.
- event planning and scheduling
- vendor planning and scheduling
- day of event responsibilities
- demonstrated ability to take projects from conceptualization through completion
- assist with press outreach and media inquiries
- social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest
- strong writing for social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
- blog content calendar and post creation (we want you to feel excited to write and help members bring posts to fruition!)
- updating the Forth website and blog (images and copy) in Squarespace
- comfortable working in Adobe photoshop
We are looking for interns who embody Forth's spirit: strong, witty, smart and all about building a community of creative women. Candidates must have their own computer and software. You must have access to the internet, e-mail, Slack and phone calls during your working hours, though we fully respect that you have commitments and responsibilities! You must be available to attend our events, helping with set-up and tear-down.

WHO WE ARE
Forth is an organization focused on creating intentional events that celebrate community and connect people.
We do this in three ways: quarterly salons, public events and custom services. Our quarterly salons bring together Chicago's creative women entrepreneurs. We host four seasonal events each year with a curated guest list ranging from hands-on craftswomen to designers of all kinds, tech-savvy disruptors and hand illustrators, writer, producers, photographers, connectors, stylists, artists, and more. We style each event both visually and with food and drink, at a new venue every quarter. We also create a theme to inspire the salon's flow. Our goal is not networking, its authentic conversation and connection, creating space and time for bright ideas. Talk is honest, open, real, and often very, very funny. We also host public events like panel talks, workshops and speed mentoring events. Our 2017 calendar is currently more focused on small scale events such as the salons.
